Possibly. Maybe he's talking about a shoutbox?
Notice that the "snapback" is in the header border thing now, instead of in the content of the quote. Isn't that wonderful?
That's not the only thing that's new though. What do you like or dislike about the new forums?

Why'd you make a completely new topic to reply to me?
Anyway, quick edit, search, cleaner UI. That's about it.

The whole thing has me disoriented. I'm used to clicking in very specific places for this specific site...

Everything is basically in the same place, for the most part.

Yeah, but it's all different shapes, some things function differently (the entire profile system for one). The navigation bar at the top seems out of order...
I just need a few hours warning before someone does something fucked up like this (or the events of last night) so I can plan on being sober and not so confused...
Edit: Curse filters haven't been set up yet!

Meh... the interface is just an aesthetic change, but it's pretty good nonetheless. The forums are better organized, and that's always good. I'm not sure what to think of the new memberlist layout though. I think columns made everything easier to see instead of a separate box for every member... and the profile kinda looks myspace-y. True, it does show useful info, but why the comments and profile views and member rating and everything?

Actually, I was just using your quote as an example to point out the new snapback.

I love the new look, it looks sleek, smooth and futuristic. Plus, there are more buttons to push. *Wanders off to push the many new and shiny buttons that have appeared*

I am loving the extensive use of dynamic scripting. Anyone notice the "quick edit" thing?

Yes, although it's a bit better in vBulletin. I'll fix this sometime so it does it vBulletin style.
Have you tried the rich text editor? The button is in the top-right hand corner of the editbox.

Does anyone know why the last post in a page sometimes stretches beyond page width for no reason?
eg: Ceritheya's post has this problem despite not having anything that would normally stretch the page. (I am using Firefox1.5 with 1024x768 res. if it matters)

I checked on it; I found it's because it had a bunch of forced indents (a cool feature in IPB 2.2, but I guess here's a downside).

I see...
As for the rest, IPB2 is great, misses a few small things which would be nice finishing touches (such as labels for form elements such as poll options to not require pressing the tiny circle) but nice enough and usable. Tell me to shut up if I'm being too picky lappy - this goes for the photos as well
