I got to playtest the Wii over last weekend. I enjoyed it, although I only got to try out Wii Sports. Has anyone else tried the Wii yet?
Zombieman3421

Trust me, you don't want to. I've used the Wii's menus and games at a local EB, and it is shit, total shit.

ignore him...

Was the motion sensing smooth or bad?

Another example of you trying to drown out the truth again. You can't do this for your whole life man, so better start acting like a man while you can.
/\/\/\/
hey, i never got temp banned for being immature, so stop the hypocrisy.

so fury, is excite truck not to your liking then?
Zombieman3421

Qlumpa has the Wii.

I don't have the Wii; Qlumpa has it, but he has not yet signed up for the new KL Forums, as Myscrnnm has returned.

It was fairly smooth, although some movements were incorrectly detected as movements that I wanted to do, and when I did use it as a pointer (mouse or something), it was slightly shaky, but that's also because people can't really hold objects without shaking them. The good thing is that the pointer "stuck" to buttons a bit so it wasn't too difficult to use.
/\/\/\/
sounds good to me.

i've heard mixed reactions from it. it seems like gun play is too slow and hard to aim. a real shame, that title held so much promise. IGN gave it a 6 i think... anyway the swordplay sounds alright, but cod3 seems to be the better choice for a shooter.

Whoever told you that was a fucking idiot. Everyone I know who's played Red Steel has said that the sword fighting feature cannot accurately interpret your movements and feels like a tacked-on feature. One that stands out the most is Electronic Gaming Monthly, which was very disappointed with Red Steel after having high expectations.
Zombieman3421
well, you took what i said, and changed to try and hurt me, well, it aint easy to do that
all i care about is if i like a game or not, i just take what other people say as PURE opinion

It doesn't matter that I cleaned up the quote, because my response would have been the same either way. Just you looking at thing from one side again.
/\/\/\/
^^good point. but its always nice to expect what might come that you weren't aware of and didn't want in there. but hey, i have views similar to yours so i respect that.
Zombieman3421
anyway
lappy, what was your favorite game in wii sports?

Saw that one yesterday, here's a link to a shorter version.

And feel free to ask me any Wii related questions.
/\/\/\/
lol i saw that. i loved his enthusiasm.
Zombieman3421
yeah, and now i want to try the wii out even more
Holy Shoes 3
lol that guy really got into the game. At my local Game Stop, they had a guitar hero 2 battle and a Wii demonstration, The one guy broke it and owes the workers a lot of money. He dropped it and then stepped on it. But this guy was like 400lbs so obviously it would get damaged or brake.

Come on, stop. I too prefer Sony, but the Wii is fun to play. The PS3 looks great, but the cost is just too much.
/\/\/\/
you see, here we have someone who can reason. i respect that.

on a side not, gameclaw got a wii yesterday (i'm p***ed), but it sounds like i might get to try it soon. then i'll know for sure.
Zombieman3421
i'll probably get a wii by next year.
/\/\/\/
Okay, I got to play Gameclaw's Wii. I put my impressions in my blog, so check it out there.
Holy Shoes 3
lol I was watching a show on VH1 yesturday and they had clips of people getting hurt while using the Wii. The one guy busted his hand through a cieling fan and got all cut up. The other problem is that if you don't have the best grip on it, it can just fly out of your hand and maybe brake, but I've heard that they had hand gloves or something like that I'm not sure.
/\/\/\/
wrist straps, but people are swinging them so crazy a good deal of them are snapping.
Zombieman3421
to stop it from flying out of your hand, all you have to do is stop playing when your hand starts to get sweaty

There are grip accessories (comes packaged with the SD cards) that you can buy. They keep the Wii-mote in your hand unless you just don't have a hold on it.

you should be able to hold on to it already though. come on, videogames aren't that exciting that they give you sweaty palms, are they?

Holding a chunk of slick plastic for an extended amount of time in a hot room will give you sweaty palms.

you could just wipe of the sweat.

Sweat is greasy. You need something that gets rid of oil and most people aren't willing to walk away from their games to clean it off.

Or, buy the Wii-mote grip that comes with an SD card. You could also make a more sturdy wrist strap.

Zombieman3421
well i don't own any rubber gloves, and i don't know anyone that does in my neighborhood
/\/\/\/
plus, how weird would it be to go over to your friends house, plop down on the couch to play some games and he goes, "wait, we gotta wear rubber gloves". screway...
Zombieman3421
yeah, it would be really weird

Since we're on the topic of Wii safety right now, I have some links...

Informative Japanese Wii manual.

Listing of the Wii damage toll so far.
