Since we will test multiplayer demos/free games together soon, I'd suggest that you start downloading the appropriate demos, in order to get them installed/working, and to get familar before we playtest the games together. We will be playtesting (in this order): Soldat, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, America's Army, and lastly Battlefield 2142. The order is from least computer-intensive, to most computer-intensive. We may play more than one game per testing session.

Anyways, to save your time, I've downloaded the game demos to the Krazy Letter server to save your time from waiting in a "line" at a file download site.
Soldat Download (11 MB)
Wolfenstein:ET Download (258 MB)
America's Army Download Part 1 of 2 (1.6 GB) (Requires WinRAR (1MB) to unzip)
America's Army Download Part 2 of 2 (1.5 GB) (Requires WinRAR (1MB) to unzip)
Battlefield 2142 Demo Download (1.1 GB)

To install America's Army, unzip both download parts to the same folder, and then you can play it by browsing to the system folder, and then running the file "ArmyOps.exe".
I'm sorry, but this version (from Filefront) does not come with an installer, because the installer (2+ GB) is too big for the server to handle.

Is 2142 compatible with the Xbox 360 controller?
lappy512
I have gotten it to work with the help of XBCD, becuase the Xbox 360's default drivers suck.

I followed the 50webs guide (link on the wiki article)

I used the "Default Xbox 360 Config File with L and R triggers being 2 different digital Buttons not triggers".

Sounds complicated when you say it. Can you do this in layman's terms?!

Okay, just follow this guide:
http://xbcd360guide.50webs.com/guide.html

When you are on the downloads page, when it asks you to "Choose One From Below", chose the option "Default Xbox 360 Config File with L and R triggers being 2 different digital Buttons not triggers"

Sounds complicated. Can you do that part for me?

Read the tutorial, it will make sense.

okay, so i'm downloading soldat rright now
should i download them all, or 1 for now, can you tell me?
lappy512
You'd have to download them sooner or later; and since I said "We may play more than one game per testing session.", it might be a good idea to have at least the first two downloaded and installed.

The whole clan idea seems to have died.
