Guitar Hero 2 is finally out! I was wondering if anyone plays it or heard of it. I just played it and it was pretty cool, the songs on it are way better.

Timebandit
I have heard of it. Looks pretty cool. It is actually an interactive game. i saw the first commercial on TV for it.

I played the original guitar hero and i was terrible. i was just wondering, does playing the real guitar help for guitar hero?

Playing drums probably helps better.

not really, because it might help to have the finger dexterity and coordination from guitar.
myncknm
Yes, but there's also a lot of mental rhythm and coordination involved.
Guitar playing might help with finger dexterity a bit, but Guitar Hero only has 5 or 6 buttons, right? Playing guitar, with so many finger positions possible, is overkill for that.

i was more thinking mof moving your fingers to various places without looking. i had a problem with that when I played.

that game is good, their is a pc kind of guitar hero game called frets on fire, and if no one knows, it is coming to the 360 spring of the next year

How does this game work? Wouldn't it be more satisfying to get a real guitar and learn to play that?
Or maybe I just don't know how this game works at all.

this game is for people who don't want to learn the guitar, but still play it.

So I assume it's easier than playing a real guitar?
Chikaru
I wanted to play the demos, but the things at Fry's were all broken down. It's generally easier, I can't even do chords on a kid-size guitar. ohmy.gif

Hm.. this Guitar Hero sounds lame to me. Instead of pretending to be cool by playing a guitar in a game, why not go all the way and actually be cool by playing a real guitar? XD

It's basically "DDR on a guitar". You press the correct button, and "strum" at the correct time.

it is also fun as it allows the option of competing with friends and playing at parties without much knowledge of guitar.
Zombieman3421
yeah, all my friends that play video games love guitar hero kinds of games
Holy Shoes 3
Yah me and my friends used to have guitar battles in the game. And another good part is that if you don't know how to play some songs on a real guitar maybe some of them might be on the game. Guitar Hero II has a lot of newer songs but still has the older classics.
punkrocker45
Yeah, like Motley Crue, Van Halen (ick..biggrin.gif) and Danzig.
Zombieman3421
and that is good, even though i have never heard of those artists
Holy Shoes 3
They have Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box on Guitar Hero II. The only thing is that it's not the real song by the artists. The people who made the game make there own version of the song, and that's what's on the game. If you listen to some of the songs close enough you can tell that they either made it longer, shortened it, or you can just tell that the voice is a litte bit different but they do a pretty good job of masking there voices so it sounds like the real artist.

I've never played it, but I play guitar, so yes. Guitar usually hurts your fingers... so bad... and then you have to manipulate and strum six or less strings. And then do other stuff... So yeah...waaay easier...

I assume.
Zombieman3421
yep, it is easier than playing a real guitar
Holy Shoes 3
In a way it is but for me I think that a real guitar is easier in my oppinion. Because in some of the songs on guitar hero they add extra notes and make it faster than the song really is.
Zombieman3421
but still, its funner
Holy Shoes 3
yah I like how at the end of each set you can do an encore. One of them is Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n Roses. Another good feature is that you can play bass on it which is pretty awesome. I only beat it on easy and medium, I'm still working on hard and expert, well I only have 3 more songs on hard.
