okay so my friend (guy) watched the devil wears prada and liked it
and so i said that it was a chick flick
and he said that james bond is a man movie

theres no such thing!

what do u think should there be man movies? dry.gif
Native pride
Yes what do you call moives like Rambo and Mad Max BTW we are overlooking something, THAT MOIVE SUCKED.
myscrnnm
Although I personally think that most movies should appeal to everyone, the James Bond films are often considered "man movies" cuz they've got the sexy women and stuff.
firelily3
yeah i get what your saying myscrnnm. I think movies should appeal to everyone also
but i bet just as many girls see the james bond movies as guys
Native pride
Yes, but not as many guys see the devil wears prada as women.
myusrnm
I watched the Devil Wears Prada and liked it.
I also watched the James Bond movie with some girls and guys and everybody liked it. Especially the Chris Cornell song. Which I believe everybody now has...

Plus, the gender gap is getting smaller.

Yeah. I mean like, just by the definition, it's considered more appealing.
Timebandit
There is such thing as a man movie. "Saving Private Ryan," "Band of Brothers," and "Platoon," are all good examples.

Continuing with the military movies... "Flyboys", "Tank Force", "Bat-21" and "All The Young Men".

Yeah, I've seen it. Kind of sad, but brilliant performance by Tom Cruise.
Joe
Yes, there are man movies, but they're better known as lez porn.

Joking aside, James Bond movies could be considered to be a bit more enticing to males rather than females. So yes, just as there are chick flicks, there are man movies.

Can we come up with a better term than man movies? I'm no homophobe, but "man movies" sounds a little gay.
S.W.A.T
Bro shows? nah, that's gay. man movies is the best we can find...

firelily3
Yeah it was a sad movie but really good myscrnnm

Timebandit

What are these bro shows of which you speak?

A good name would just be "guy movies."
Anyways, of course some movies are geared towards specific genders.

Family Guy's for everyone, except the easily offended.
Which means that Family Guy is for about 35% of the US,

Then why was the firelily saying that they are worse than man movies? (which would imply that they are different things)

Some of the most popular would be like thrillers, action, comedy, drama, and shit.
