Yeah, the original Zen was shit. It was larger than the iPod, had poorer build quality, terrible aesthetics, looked and felt cheap, and was generally a terrible product. But I'll admit, Creative has improved, the new Zen Vision W is actually a great product.

btw, Creative is the name of the company. Their DAPs are marketed under the name Zen. You can't say, the Creative, because that refers to the company, not the product.

Even though they are made in countries like China it doesn't mean they are less quality or it will break, the one I have brought from Hong Kong has had no problems, there is much more things on mine then a Apple IPod, better quality and is far much easier to use. No offence.

Actually, I meant that it is made by a Chinese company. But since you've brought it up, made in China actually does generally mean it is of lower quality, and people who know about buying stuff know this. Stuff made in Japan is more expensive for a reason. It's because their products are made with superior fabrication processes. For instance, one of my cousin's once explained to me why Ebbro made their premium 1:24 Honda NSX model in Japan, because the Chinese factories do not have the capbility to make the mesh for the engine bay with the same fineness as the Japanese factories.

That is because it is worth paying extra for more quality, especially with something as important as a car.
But an MP3 player is just a few electrical components slapped together. Unlike with cars, I can see little difference in functionality b/w the "Chinese knockoff" and the iPod, but I can see the radio and the other features that don't come with the iPod.

The iPod is brilliant in terms of functionality not because it has them built-in, but because it is so customizable, since there are endless accessories for it. For instance, it has no FM tuner, BUT I've purchased a Griffin iTrip radio transmitter for the iPod. The possibilities are endless. Whereas your knockoff model is incompatible with pretty much all accessories.
