I got to meet Matt Hasslebeck

Isn't he a NFL QB? I've heard of him quite recently, I'm not sure where he plays, either Seattle or San Diego... (The most recent match I saw)

Knowing details is like how many touchdowns a team got in a given season. This guy is famous.

The point is, he's famous. I mean, when Lou Gehrig started having poorer performance, did that make him unknown? The point I'm trying to make here is that this is not some obscure man.

People from Finland are obligated to know about the stuff that happens in the United States. For instance, back when the United Kingdom was the most powerful empire, people from like India knew all about the stuff happening in the UK. And now, when I am going to places like Asia, they know about the stuff happening here.

That's just because India was under UKs rule, you nimwit. In Finland, football ain't a big deal. You have to have some sorta special cable to see it. And quite frankly, we don't really give paskanmarjat what happens in the USA. All we know is that your goverment is fucked, your politics is fucked and your socialsecurity is fucked. All the big USA issues that I hear, are the ones I hear Conan O'Brien making jokes of.

No, he's obligated to know about our pop culture.

And you can't say "best", because that's a very general term. For instance, could you tell me who's the best basketball player in our country?

Who cares? What use is of a sport which is played mainly (at least the only place where there is at least some quality in it) in one country. Becides it ain't football, since you don't kick the ball (very match) and the ball isn't shaped like a ball.

I never said that it's shit. I just said that you're just overreacting just because I'm not familiar with some player in a sport which is played mainly in just one country. Related to this, I assume you don't know who Tahko Pihkala is.

And vice versa... I've never heard of Matt Hasslebeck either, in fact, unless it has been mentioned on the Simpsons or something, I do not know any American Foot[Hand]Ball player or even a baseball player besides Babe Ruth.

And why should we know, american football is crap and:

QUOTE
Probably invented as practice for that other great American pastime, going around dressed in huge quantities of armour or hiding in armoured tanks and planes while taking pot shots at surrendering troops, local civilians and/or allied troops, with the object of the game being to grab as much oil as possible.

Why don't Americans play REAL sports? Is it just because if they played anything anyone else played, they might get beaten sometimes? (*cough* ice hockey *cough* Canada)

No, China has power in numbers, but their technology is simply not powerful enough to overwhelm the United States.

And yes, that is the point. Since the United States is the most powerful empire at the moment, people must follow its culture.

I wouldn't call myself proud. But what I am sure of is that you muslims have no right to be proud. btw, Islam isn't a race, motherfucker. Again, I've shown that muslims (like Christians) are often more ignorant of their own religion than those practicing other beliefs.

What a joke! And what does that have to do with anything?
Why pick on religion when it had nothing to do with what I said?

"No, the world is being screwed by you, the muslims."

"That's the second time you have resorted to mindless irrelevant racism in whatever you are trying to achieve."

If you can't put two and two together, you also don't deserve to live.

Argh, you won't get it anyway, so I'll just have to explain it. I spoke of muslims, and he said I was a racist, which by logic, means that he believes the muslims to be a race.
Zafer200
Oh Ok, and I don't think that the world is being screwed by Muslims if America just stayed out of they're internal affairs or plans I think that none of what is going on would never have happened. You might say that, that is wrong by believe it is true.

Actually, if the muslim terrorists just stopped blowing innocent peopl up, American wouldn't have to "meddle with their plans".
Zafer200
If a Muslim terrorist "blows up an innocent person" is that America's business?
myscrnnm
QUOTE(Zafer200 @ Jan 2 2007, 04:35 PM) *

Yes, because first of all, ever heard of 9/11? And second of all, America has no choice but to intervene in Iraq. First of all, stop dissing us, we can't win with you people (you people as in the ignorant public), if we don't do anything, people will diss us for letting people die while we live richly, and if we do stuff, we get dissed for "killing innocent people". At least by going to Iraq, we'll be able to at least try to slow down the spread of terrorism. So, yes, it is our business because we don't want our people getting blown up.
krt
September 11? laugh.gif

Yeah, and it's not just that. Even if it wasn't Americans being killed, it's still our business because we are one of very few countries with the means to combat these terrorists. And if other people don't act, then it's all up to us (although we've had quite a bit of support from the United Kingdom).
