So, what does everyone here think of what's happened recently?

Uh... I kinda feel like I'm missing something. I know that someone went and deleted posts so that the DB had to be reverted, but other than that... no clue. Care to fill me in?

At Leftylink: Yep, it's true, so when I tried to revert to my autobackup, I found that my autobackup didn't work since 9/11, so KL got reverted to 9/11. Therefore, I decided to use this opportunity to gradually move the board over to 2.2 (first the forums, then once I ge the arcade and stuff over...) And yes, the date IS a coincidence.

It's better. The more important stuff is at the top and the KDemocracy forum isn't taking up space.

Yeah, I like it better. KDemocracy's gone, and the unregulated forum isn't up at the very top, and in general unneeded stuff was taken out or multiple related small forums combined, so less forums, and less to scroll through. One thing though... I think general chat gets used often and should be higher instead of being at the very bottom.

The new forum is awesome. Almost every feature is improved.

vB is still better IMO.

I believed the General Forum was overused. There were many topics there that should of gone either in the unregulated forums, leet forums or other forums.

I prefer it's rep-system and it's search-ability with the drop-downs.

Although the Rep system is not in IPB 2.2, the dropdown search has been added.

Honestly, in a forum like this, the rep system would just be abused.

You can put a limit on reps per day, or per person repped per x days, but limiting posts would be a pain.

Honestly, I've seen gigantic porn-sharing forums PACKED with immature little kids work with the rep system without abusing it too badly. I think it could work well here if regulated properly.

Well, not as it's current state right now. Most of the topics in the Old KL are random humour threads, with very few being intellectual debates. Power posted his art once to break a cycle, and that's about it.

Many people think they can get to the top of a forum by spamming and getting lots of posts, and by using 1337 chatspeak. That really gets on my nerves. But luckily you don't see any of that stuff on krazyletter.

Random topics go the way of IM conversations, however. They're just mindless dribble.

Some people get to think of forums like chatboards or whatever they are called.

I thought what happened was actually pretty crazy cause I was trying to post things and they were all just disapearing.

Either I wasn't here or I had just got back from my trip when it happened. Why would someone delete the topics? What else happened? I wonder who it was...it couldn't have been bla_bla, he did not seem to posess the intelligence that would be required to do something like that. KC wouldn't do it, he's back here, and the last suspect that I can think of myscrnnm, but I do not think he would do that...must have been someone random. Or maybe someone from Flecko who got hacked off at us for pointing out their spelling and grammar mistakes.
