In the past, each console has had a number of exclusive games. But in the current console war, it seems that the only console with significant, multiple, exclusives is the Wii. I believe that the reason for this is because the PS3 in a relatively unproven console, so companies are reluctant to make exclusives.
Your opinions??

Far from it. The PlayStation 3 will have the highest-quality exclusives of the seventh-generation era. First of all, it's got the most trusted developers working on exclusives for it. Square Enix will again be making the canonical Final Fantasy exclusively on the PlayStation system. Konami, which has long been loyal to SCEI regarding its greatest hits, will be developing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the last iteration of Metal Gear, for the PlayStation 3. Not to mention SCEI has its own developers working on first-party games like Gran Turismo 5, and next generations of Killzone, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs, and Wipeout.
Sure, the Xbox 360 has Halo 3 and the Dead or Alive series, but this is nothing compared to what the PlayStation 3 has. The PlayStation brand has proven throughout the past decade that it will always have a software lineup of the finest quality. It has a fine reputation, and the good developers will always follow SCEI because they know who to support.
In terms of the Wii, sure, it's got the most first-party exclusives, but these are low quality gimmicks. I mean, looking at stuff like Smooth Moves and Twilight Princess, these will be nice from ten minutes to maybe a week, but even that's doubtful. I mean, here I am with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, which is six years old, and it's STILL better than say Wii Play.

The games up there are exclusive for PS3, right now. But just look at the GTA series, GTA 4 is coming out on Xbox exclusiveley. If this is succesfull, this might tempt other companies such as Konami or Square Enix into adding their games to other systems. Such as it the case of GTA4 and Mercenaries 2.
More examples of past "loyalty to SCEI" are the transfer of MGS:Sons of Liberty into a bestseller Xbox game MGS: Substance. Then there is also The Ace Combat series that has been Sony exclusive throughout its career, exept that AC6 is coming out on Xbox. Armored Core-Final Fantasy 11, these were both Sony exclusives until recently. Only time will tell how the Sony loyal companies will play their hands.

The PS3's liscensing cost is way too expensive to hold on to many of it's 3rd party exclusives. Companies just can't afford it.
Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Cry On, Brother in Arms, and Lost Colony on top of Halo 3 and DoA. More than enough to murder the upcoming game line.

"too expensive to hold on to 3rd party exclusives". That completely goes against the facts. The best third-party exclusives are all on the PlayStation 3. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Final Fantasy XIII. The best companies are doing it (i.e. Konami and Square Enix).
Blue Dragon is so cheesy. Also, Brothers in Arms is not an exclusive.
Halo 3 and Dead or Alive alone are not enough to compete with the PlayStation 3's lineup. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty sold more than 7 million units, and any serious role-playing game gamer knows that Final Fantasy is top-of-the-line. Gran Turismo is also the unprecedented leader of driving simulators, with more cumulative sales than any other game series in its genre.

ps3 hasn't got much good for exclusives so far. let's see, launched with four, 1 was good, so yeah. upcoming stuff? still in the works. most of these guys will probably wind up making a version for the 360 too. wouldn't be a surprise, as that's where the money is and plenty of companies have already done that. and your "loyal" companies aren't quite so. let's see, we'll start with konami. Snake's in smash bros brawl, if you're still behind on that. Kojima struck a deal with nintendo for it. Begged for it. and not like "please", more like "OH GOD PLEASE!!!". This deal they made will most likely end up with mgs games on the wii or ds. I'll do square next. Notice all the final fantasy remakes on the ds that are selling like crazy yet? And why didn't they make them on the psp if they're so "loyal"? very interesting... and there's still the fact that a final fantasy game is in fact coming out on the wii. And killzone? don't make me laugh. That abysmal "halo-killer" will still suck even if it's pretty.
And how dare you call twilight princess lame. everybody loves it. if it weren't made by nintendo you'd love it too, but you turn a blind eye toward that brand. you're missing out on something truly amazing dude. And, for the most part, most wii exclusives have not been so great so far i agree. but plenty is still to come, like mario metroid and brawl, and nothing you say can make those come out bad.

That's impossible. All the Metal Gear Solid games have been released exclusively on the PlayStation systems (Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty & Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater on PlayStation 2, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops on PlayStation Portable, & Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PlayStation 3). The only Metal Gear Solid game ever on a Nintendo system was Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, critically bashed by purists.
I'll tell you what is worth noticing, that all the CANONICAL Final Fantasy games have been released in the PlayStation family (Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, & Final Fantasy IX on PlayStation, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, & Final Fantasy XII on PlayStation 2, & Final Fantasy XIII on PlayStation 3). The only Final Fantasy game announced for the Wii is a Crystal Chronicles game, a cheap second-rate game for gays. And if you'd been following the news, you'd see that even though Square Enix had previously been developing Final Fantasy games for the DS, most of the future portable releases are on the PlayStation Portable. But I don't expect people living under a rock to know that. But people shouldn't be living under rocks in the first place, so I don't forgive you for being completely ignorant.
Regarding Killzone, the PlayStation 3 version is not a mere remake of Killzone for the PlayStation 2. Killzone for the PlayStation 3 was completely redesigned from the ground up. The graphics in it are even better than what the Wii could ever hope to muster even in five years' time.
I don't give a shit who makes the Legend of Zelda series, the games are shit because they ARE. I don't give a shit that I'm missing out on it. That's not funny in the least. This person died. This is a person who had a life, she had a family, she had people who loved her. You may find it funny because you don't understand the true meaning of love, but that's just the way it is. You are truly one of the most formidable adversaries I have ever faced, because you are something less than human. You lack the basic fundamental emotions that should be in every human being. You have that uncanny inability sympathize with other people. I honestly hope that the world does not have to know such evil in the future.

Big deal. Nobody knows about the Metal Gear series, but they've sold even more units than the Halo franchise. Plus, the Xbox 360 is basically riding on the promise of Halo 3. The PlayStaiton 3 is backed by Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Final Fantasy XIII, and Gran Turismo 5. The system has the best exclusives for more genres than anyone else. Nobody gives a shit about Mass Effect. Final Fantasy XIII will exceed Mass Effect in every aspect. We've seen that Square Enix has only improved with each successive Final Fantasy game in the past few years. In fact, Final Fantasy XIII has already been critically acclaimed BEFORE it's even been released. All that shit that you see in the trailers, that isn't traditional FMV shit like they've used in previous iterations of Final Fantasy. That shit is rendered in realtime with the White Engine, with the Cell Broadband Engine processor, which is the only microprocessor capable of doing it, due to the sheer processing power it possesses.

What you, and the people over at Xbox 360 Fanboy, don't understand is that it is a PHYSICAL IMPOSSIBILITY for Final Fantasy XIII to be on any system other than the PlayStation 3. Final Fantasy XIII was tailored for use exclusively with the PlayStation 3 due to it being the only system on the market that can handle the intensive processes of the White Engine. Sure, maybe after two or three years we'll be seeing Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360, but at this time, it's still a PlayStation 3 exclusive, and that's what matters.

I have the greatest idea ever. A game that stars coconuts as the main character. And you're fighting the orange monkeys with flashlights. It will be called coco caca. It is totally original and awesome. It revolves around the character, Johnny McCoco, the cocaine smoking coconut that looks like it's straight out of a 70's western. He's holstering his flashlight, and he's an unsung hero of the Cold War. Basically, we go behind the scenes of the Cold War, to the real fighting, between the orange monkeys and the coconuts, that truly determined the Cold War. Anyways, Orange monkeys and coconuts have never made it to a blockbuster game, and the combination is something never seen before. Because of it's originality people will all buy it and I'll be rich.

He is saying that he wants to follow the Final Fantasy series but they continue on to the Playstation 3. He would rather play them on the 360.
You say that he is not being loyal to the series because he isn't loyal to the console. There are still a few ways to stay loyal to the series without being loyal to the console (Emulators, which deny Square Enix money). And somehow, hoping for a 360 release of MGS and FFXIII has transformed him into a vagina.

He is saying that if Final Fantasy is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, he will not play it. That makes him not loyal to the series, as he has stopped playing it. Don't try to fool me with your overly-long and stupid explanations, I can't be intimidated by your bullshit.

blah blah blah me trying to compensate for being lame in real life by acting all tough and talking shit on a forum.
I'm sorry you're getting confused by my incredible explanations, and if you're intimidated by the magical intertubes.

The reason I don't have a PS3, is that I am too poor to buy one right now.
I would like it if I could play MGS4 and FFXIII on the 360, but I might not be able to.
But I WILL play them on the PS3 if that is the only system they come out on. Seeing as how my girlfriend has a PS3.
