Advocates for the cameras use evidence that crimes have decreased to support them. The technology behind these cameras is actually very interesting. They are developing software to be capable of tracking subjects from camera to camera and identifying fugitives, runaways, missing persons, etc.

At the moment, I think these cameras could be a good thing, but then again, I am not subjected to them .
