Wow, never heard of AC?

Well its a "Combat Simulator" where you can be lots of jets. (Without the Raptor or Rafale, I'd hate it ) Although AC04 is where I first heard of the Raptor and Rafale.....

ANYWAY! If your into mach 2 jets, dodging missiles, blowing crap up, and everything else, that's the best game.


But online now! That's freakin sweet. I just can't wait.

I think the 6th one is going to be more of a Sim then an Arcade game. The story better be good. And they should definitely have Tacos. And it's only for the 360 now. They'd better announce it for the PS3.

It would be harder to market on the PS3, because so few people play that console (or even own it) online.

Well i am a person who is damn bad at flight sims.
And i figured out that it was a sim after I looked at the pictures

Naw. It's an Arcade/Sim. The Physics are pretty nerfed in the latest ones. 04 being the most realistic. Some people hope they are realistic and others hope it's arcadish. Besides, I think why most people hate flight sim is the Yoke or Flightstick.

Not quite, the F-117 went to fast, the Rafale wasn't to maneuverable, and the planes were sooo linear, meaning crappy ones first, then they got better by stats, not so much real world stats. Just my thought really, I like 5's flight characteristics, and some of Zero's. I used the Draken for Zero for practically the whole game till I got the Rafale after the X-B0 mission.

I was talking about the physics, but okay. In Zero and 5 you can turn on a dime. But they have the best storylines. I love Zero the most.

Zero was okay, but the storyline in 5 really connected with me. I still use references to it in my speech.

The 5 storyline got a little twisted during the end.

How was it twisted? I thought it was great, not necessarily the whole SOLG thing, the only thing that really bothered me was Chopper dying and then after the end them never flying again.

Lol, the SOLG. Chopper was annoying anyways. He wouldn't stop talking on the radio. Yeah, the end was bad. But up until 8492nd.

That's bs. It would be incredibly easy to market on the PlayStation 3 due to the superior physics-processing capabilities. With flight simulators, it's all about how accurately you can imitate real-world physics, and that's exactly where the Cell Broadband Engine beats out all other CPUs found on the market today.

AH, i'm not against the PS3 thing, but AC6 probably isn't going to be siulator-like. Theres a number of things not realistic. The AC5 physics were nerfed.

But by console standards, Ace Combat appears to usually be the gold standard for flight simulators.

Ace combat zero kinda was weird. The storyline was awesome, but the excalibur was not a superweapon!!!!! Most of the time, Stonehenge for instance, you dodge the explosions for awhile before your like, hell, I'm gunna blow them sky high! The excalibur lasted one and one eighth of a mission, so short! Even the X-B0! But I don't really care, I love killing Pixy!

I think Ace Combat 5 was one of the best ever. Better storyline even than Ace Combat Zero.

Have you even PLAYED Ace Combat 5? You've told me you haven't. And need I say it, Kei Nagasie bitched to much during the game. It's like she's a hippy.

I liked Kei Nagase the best of all the wingman. I don't beleive that AC6 will be a Xbox 360 exclusive, I beleive it will turn into another Resident Evil 4. It will come out on 360 and then some time later it will come out on PS3 with a few extra features.

Eh, Nagase is good. Grimm is the best, he shoots down planes, but doesn't piss you off from talking to much like Chopper. Thank God he dies. The last level of 5 is REALLY good.

There are so many easter eggs in 5 and Zero. In the beginning of Ace Combat Zero where you are introduced to GALM squadron information at the bottom next to the GALM logo states 6th Air Division 66th Air force Unit, which if you put the three sixes together it forms 666 the devils number.This makes sense because later in the game GALM 1 (you) is called The Demon Lord." Very cool. Solo Wing probably has the coolest paint scheme on his plane, with the one red wing, but Schwarze, Rot, and Gelb have very cool ones too. I miss Ace Combat 5. I sold it for Ace Combat 04. Still a classic.

I'm sure AC6 will have it's annoying moments. I think the whole 360 thing was a marketing scam too. Lets say you play Ace Combat from the first game on PS1, to the fourth on the PS2, so you think it will continue into the PS3, you buy it, it comes out for the Xbox. BAM! See? Even though the companies are not related, there's something really fishy about it.
