Recently, djbob has been closing way too many topics. Supposedly, he's closed them because I was "necromancing". However, just because a topic is old, does that necessarily mean that it's bad? Or that the subject is no longer relevant? By all means, no! Lots of them were simply forgotten, but can still be catalysts for great discussions. I think djbob has been abusing his powers as a moderator because he's like a woman, always wants the last word. But they're not happy with the last word. They want to keep on going. (no offense to women, of course, I love women, well, hot women). I think djbob wants a smack. myncknm, when you get back, seriously reconsider djbob's rank as a moderator.
-BUMP-
The Korps Commander is acting like a girl too. And he's even closing topics that have been in use recently. He closed nearly a whole page of threads in less than ten minutes. Please, both djbob and the Korps Commander are acting like girls. You must stop them.
-UPDATE-
The total has now risen to more than two pages worth of topics closed, and approaching three.

Jesus, who cares? Why close the topics? I was talking to Lappy a while ago and he said it wasn't bad to bring back topics, as long as you were on topic. You kill the forum, make it look bad, and no one will join. It's starting to look like Helionet.

"necromancing" is a nuisance to other forum members. Once in a while, if you actually have something to say about a topic, it's okay. But when done in bulk, it creates 7 pages of new topics in the "find new posts" link. When people see all this, click on the new posts, and find that all it contains is a single new post by you saying something useless, they become annoyed at the waste of time. When there are 7 pages of such posts, most people don't have the time to look through them all, and so good, active topics become buried. Then the forum becomes dominated by old topics with only one new post in them, which few people are interested enough to look through.
Please stop.

I have to listen to the bosses (myncknm and lappy) ultimately, myscrnnm.
PS - Why are you appealing to myncknm when he supports these closings anyway?

If anyone else wants one of these topics re-opened, just say so and it'll be back.

If you necro an offtopic topic to bring it back ontopic, while there have been no posts for a while, it's kinda pointless, as it makes people dig through useless points. However, if it was ontopic and died then it's probably okay to necromance. However, necromancing pages of topics at a time will cause pages of topics to be closed.

Well, "Tickle is a Liar" was closed for a completely pointless reason.
It wasn't that ontopic to begin with, and nobody was interested in it for 6 months, so it's most likely that nobody will be interested now. What would *not* be considered necromancing would be if someone posted new information related to ticlke, or something (For example, "Tickle is now the #1 most popular site on the web!!! Can you believe that?") would be an example of allowable necromancing.
However, as I said, necromancing pages of topics would cause pages of topics to be killed.
However, if an innocent topic is killed in the crossfire (which could happen if pages of topics are involved), bring that up and I will reopen it.

It'd be easier for us if you make these requests by the topic number, by the way.

As I said, there is NO REASON to MASS NECROMANCE.
"However, as I said, necromancing pages of topics would cause pages of topics to be killed."
"However, if an innocent topic is killed in the crossfire (which could happen if pages of topics are involved), bring that up and I will reopen it."
That meant if a topic which has NOT BEEN NECROMANCED in was closed due to "necromancing", then we would reopen it.

ah myscrnnm... since when is "you're acting like girls" an insult?
Especially to someone who insists he's heterosexual?
Or have you taken to referring to guys who dont like you as girls because there arnt any girls who like you?
Anyways, maybe too many topics were closed but Mynck and Lappy do have a point: If i've been gone for less than 12 hours and there's already 3 pages of new posts, it doesnt make me exactly excited about the idea of trying to weed out the topics that are actually worth something.

I wasn't trying to insult females. When I said, "girl", I was referring to the archetypal girl, not the average girl. You know, like when people say, "you throw like a girl".

I do not believe myself to be above the rules. I have never demonstrated behaviors to suggest this, nor have I stated that I believe so. What you're doing is simply exploiting loopholes in your own flawed rule system to benefit yourself while causing more inconvenience for me. If you ever ran a consumer electronics, company, you'd go bankrupt, because your customer service would be shit.

I preemptively closed mass numbers of topics. I'm trying to get lappy to implement a mass-topic-archiver to get rid of those topics automatically to prevent necromancing. I do admit that portion was overkill... any particular topics you want re-opened?
As for you myscrnnm, stop whining. If you didn't necromance, I wouldn't have to waste time closing your topics. Stop being annoying.
