I've heard a lot of stupid conspiracy theories, and this seemed to be one of them. But then again I don't really know the arguments for supposing that Cobain was murdered. So... any ideas?

I don't believe he killed himself, because he had stated to many different members of the press that he was extremely happy because Frances Bean had been born. I don't think it was a conspiracy or anything, but I have a hard time believing he killed himself, even if he was unhappy with how successful Nirvana was.

basically he didn't kill himself because if he had done that he would have had to be superhuman. plus, he didn't want to die.

These are a short lists of things he would have had to be able to do to have killed himself as happened.

1) Decide He was going to commit suicide. He hadn't. It's not like Ian Curtis.
2) Given Himself A few times the Legal amount of heroin
3) Survived Number 2 long enough to do number 4
4) Shot a shotgun with his foot.

step 3 is rather amusing...

I think Courtney Love (or whatever his widow's name is) killed him.

I think a lot of people believe that...She is a very, psychotic person, but I don't know if she would have killed him. And like myusrnm said, he could of just killed himself by taking a pantsload of heroin, probably would have been easier than a gun. I mean, common sense prevailing here.

was he definitely shot? I say he took a ton of heroin and then she came home and found him dead, and then was so mad that she took a gun and shot him!

been a while since i been here but here goes...

cobain commited suicide. simple as that. the truth is that the fame that was making him so prosperous was exactly against the messsage he tried to get acrcoss through his music. he coundn't handle the contradiction and so decided to end it the quickest way possible.

Not to mention that, being OD'd on heroin and having attempted suicide previously, it's not so surprising that he would've done it.

Honestly, some of the comments you find on Youtube about this are completely stupid. "LOL NOS IT WERE A TOO-BARREL SHOT GUN SO WHO PULED TEH OTHER TRIGGER?!?!?!???"

on a side note, i don think that nirvana would be considered as great a band today if Kurt hadn't killed himself. i mean, Rolling stone originallr ranked Nevermind as a 3/5, but after the death of Cobain, it mysteriously jumped up to a 5.
